Retired South Korean football icon Park Ji-sung has joined the Honor Society, a club of rich donors.

During his visit to a charity group named “Sarang-ui Yeolmae” literally meaning the fruit of love, in central Seoul, Tuesday, Park submitted an application for Honor Society membership to become its 555th member, and donated 100 million won.

Since its foundation in 2007, Honor Society has raised 60.7 billion won from its members, including 79 donors who want to remain anonymous.

Park, a former English Premier Leaguer, will play for his All-Star squad in the upcoming match against the K League Classic All-Star team. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. on Friday at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Two days later, Park will tie the knot with Kim Min-ji, 29, who was formerly an announcer at SBS TV, at a hotel in Seoul.
