K-pop superstar Psy's "Gangnam Style" has attracted so many viewers on YouTube that the global website had to upgrade its system, according to South Korean entertainment industry sources Wednesday.
They said that even though some people watched the music video on YouTube, the number of views did not increase any more.
YouTube said: "We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met Psy,"
"The song has been viewed so many times we have to upgrade," it said.
"Gangnam Style" became the most-watched music video of all time on YouTube on Nov. 24, 2012 with more than 900 million views, surpassing “Baby” sung by Justin Bieber, a Canadian singer and songwriter.
