The number of South Korean tourists visiting Vietnam totaled 262,013 or 18 percent of the total foreign arrivals in Vietnam in the January-February period, according to the figures released by the Vietnamese government's tourism bureau.
The figure represents a whopping 55.1 percent increase from the same period last year.
Chinese placed second with 237,083 arrivals or 16.3 percent of the total, a decrease of 40.3 percent from a year earlier.
Japanese came in third with 116,914 arrivals or 8 percent, followed by Americans (105,065 arrivals or 7.2 percent) and Australians (84,814 arrivals or 5.8 percent).
In 2014, Chinese took the top spot with 1,947,236 arrivals or 24.7 percent of the total foreign tourist arrivals, ahead of South Koreans (847,958 arrivals or 10.8 percent).
