South Korean rising star Chung Hyeon, winner of the St. Joseph's/Candler Savannah Challenger tennis tournament in Savannah, Ga. on April 26 (local time), reached his highest ATP singles ranking of 88, up 19 notches from the previous week.

He is the second South Korean to join the ranks of the top 100 in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world rankings, after Lee Hyung-taik who landed at 99 in 2000 and then at a career-high 36 in 2007.

Chung cruised to the Savannah title with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over James McGee of Ireland in Sunday's final.

A three-time ATP Challenger Tour champion, Chung is the first player to reach 20 match wins on the circuit in 2015 and joins Benoit Paire of France and Kimmer Coppejans of Belgium as the only players to claim multiple titles, according to the ATP.
