Monday marks 62nd anniversary of Korean War Armistice Agreement

A magpie sits on top of a tombstone at the National Cemetery in Dongjak-dong, Seoul. Monday marks the 62nd anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement signed at the end of the war. South and North Korea remain technically at war as the 1950-53 Korean War ended in a truce, not a peace treaty.
Under the U.N. flag, 21 countries, including the United States, fought alongside South Korea against invading North Korea backed by China in the Korean War.
