Song and his wife, actress Park Ip-sun, reached the agreement after the Chuseok holiday in late September, and submitted divorce documents to the court, Song's management agency, GSEN, in Seoul, was quoted as saying by the Yonhap news agency.
The agency dismissed reports that they filed for a divorce, Yonhap said.
They broke up because of "personality difference," GSEN said, without elaborating.
