Psy to return with new album Dec. 1

K-pop superstar Psy plans to return to the music scene with a new album on Dec. 1, his management agency in Seoul said Tuesday.

The agency, YG Entertainment, made public the plan earlier in the day, by posting a poster reading "Psy New Album 2015.12.01" and a caricature of the singer on its official blog.

The upcoming album is Psy's first album since "Gentleman" released in April 2013. Its music video has since surpassed the 880 million view mark on YouTube.

Psy rose to international stardom for “Gangnam Style” featuring his horse-riding dance. "Gangnam Style," the most-viewed music video of all time on YouTube, neared the 2.45 billion view mark on the global video-sharing site.
