“Food Week Korea”, the largest food exhibition in Korea is to open on 18th of November. Held at COEX, the exhibition will feature over 1,000 companies and from local cuisine from 25 different countries.

The exhibition will provide its visitors with a variety of food exhibits and latest trends in the food industry, which is rapidly changing. Marking its 10th anniversary, Food Week Korea also prepared showcases that will allow visitors to participate and enjoy.

The first annual Korean Fruit Fair is also to be held in Hall A. The fair designed to spread awareness and increase consumption of Korean Fruits, will provide visitors a great chance to buy Korean fruits at an inexpensive price. “Best Korean Fruit Contest”, “Fruit Make-up Show” and cooking classes for visitors will also be held at the fair.

The exhibition also aims to provide opportunities for the exhibitors to meet foreign distributors and Halal Buyers.”Last Year, 668 successful B2B meetings and 359 billion won worth of profit was generated” said Song Chang-hoon, the Deputy Director of Food Week Korea Secretariat.

“We expect to maximize results this year by acting as an export channel. We will hold seminars with Halal buyers for the Middle East and Southwest Asian regions, and by utilize Trade Korea and K-mall 24, an online export platform developed by KITA.” He added.
