“K-Sale Day”, an event similar to U.S’ Black Friday is to be launched. The event will start from November 27, seven days earlier than Black Friday. According to The Federation of Distribution Industry, Thursday, the event will be carried out for 26 days, discounts up to 90% will be applied to various products.
The Federation’s aim is clear. To increase the sales as Black Friday does during Thanksgiving Season in U.S. During Black Friday season. K-Sale Day will be supported by Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, Ministry of Strategy & Finance and Small & Medium Business Association
During the event, retailers including online mall and offline stores will offer discounts. Major companies such as Samsung Electronics and Nike will participate in the event to promote sales.
Traditional marketplace also participates in the event. Variety of festivals and promotional events nationwide are scheduled from Nov. 27, the federation said.
