Hyundai Motor Group started its pre-orders for the new Genesis “EQ900”, Monday. The consumers’ expectation is showing up in pre-order numbers. According to Hyundai, 4,342 pre-orders were made in the first 24 hours.
Even Hyundai seems surprised by the number. A Hyundai insider said, “Regarding the EQ900 is the most luxurious flagship sedan and also very pricey, the numbers of pre-orders made are very surprising, unbelievable.”
“EQUUS”, a luxury sedan released in 2009 recorded 1,180 pre-orders on its first day and in 2013, Genesis (DH) sedan recorded 3,331 pre-orders.
The experts in the industry see the boom as the result of EQ900’s beautiful design combined with the latest technology to fulfill the concept of the new Genesis Brand, “Human Centered Innovation”.
EQ900 is the flagship model of Hyundai Motor Group’s new Genesis brand, which was announced worldwide earlier this month. It will be fitted with 3.8, 3.3 turbo, 5.0 power trains along with HVCS(Hyundai Variable Control Suspension) and other latest techs from Hyundai.
