Ducati, the well known motorbike maker for exotic models and for its sheer power pumping out of big engines, has announced a 399cc version of Scrambler late November. Scrambler was released early last year.

The Italian manufacturer targeted different customers when they released scrambler last year. Equipped with 803cc air cooled engine with 75 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and its stylish, colorful looks suited customers who were looking for an affordable stylish motorbike with performance.

Scrambler Sixty2, the smaller version of the Scrambler, is equipped with 399cc air cooled engine with 41 horsepower at 8,750 rpm. A little lackey in horsepower, but considering its cheaper price of U.S$ 7,995, it’s acceptable.

Minor changes have been made to Sixty2, Ducati changed the Kayaba folk to standard Showa fork. The swingarm was newly designed with about 15mm of wheelbase extended. Brake rotor’s size had been reduced to 320mm from Scrambler’s 330mm.

Although Sixty2 received minor rollbacks from its bigger brother, it is still equipped with standard ABS, so its rider would feel a little easy about pulling hard on brakes.

The manufacturer describes the Scrambler Sixty2 as light, maneuverable and accessible. It’s release date is unknown.
