Google introduces ‘Jakku Spy’, Star Wars VR experience

Google in collaboration with Star Wars, and Verizon, a U.S. mobile carrier released a new feature to its Star Wars Cardboard app. A new form of entertainment in Virtual Reality (VR).

The official Star Wars app now features Jakku Spy. When played on Cardboard, Google’s budget VR headset made out of a sheet of cardboard and a headband, its users can play a role of a spy in Jakku. Jakku is a desert world in Star Wars.

Apps similar to Jakku Spy were uploaded on Google Play before, But nothing alike. Users can explore the desert would while the infamous Millennium Falcon dog-fights Tie fighters mid-air. Currently, the first episode of Jakku Spy is available but more will come as its users receive messages from the Resistance and explores into the story deeper.
