According to a report by ESPN, NBA basketball player Lebron James signed a lifetime deal with Nike. This is the largest single-athlete guarantee for Nike to sign in its 44-year history.

Cleveland Cavaliers star Lebron has been with Nike since he started playing in NBA. His first deal with Nike was a seven-year, U.S$93 million and at 2010, he signed another deal with Nike for a longer period and for more money.

Lebron was drafted by the Cavaliers in 2003 and was awarded two-times NBA champion, two-times NBA finals MVP, four-times NBA MVP and other many awards. From his debut, he was thought to be the next Michael Jordan, the basketball legend.

Nike, being a good supporter and building friendship since Lebron’s professional debut, has been releasing Lebron’s signature models of basketball shoes. Nike sold $340 million worth of Lebron’s signature shoes from February 2014 through January 2015.

Nike is also famous for its endorsement with Jordan. But it is a de facto lifetime deal, its cost and period not officially known.
