Kim Jun-su’s ticket power overwhelms Korean musical industry

Kim Jun-su (also known as Xia), a member of trio JYJ proved himself to be one of the most popular musical actors of Korea. The musical Dracula’s tickets for 11 openings (approximately 32,000 tickets) were sold out in just ten minutes of its sales.

The tickets were scheduled to be on sale at 2 pm on Tuesday. Just after ten minutes, the tickets were all sold out. Online malls which sold the tickets had connection problems due to a mass of people trying to make reservations of the musical.

The muse, Kim Jun-su, already have caused mayhem in the Korean musical industry last year by having every ticket sold on the same musical Dracula. The tickets sold out for two months setting a record in the industry.

Dracula is a musical based on the original written by Bram Stoker, Frank Wildhorn, the composer of musical Jekyll and Hyde remade the classic into a superb musical. Since its Premiere in 2004, Dracula is loved by fans around the globe.
