J.J. Abrams has something special for Star Wars fans

Much anticipated waiting is at near-end. Star Wars’ Episode 7, “The Force Awakens” is facing its worldwide opening this week, and its creator J.J. Abrams spoke about the aspects which he tried to include in the film.

The movie series, with hundreds of millions of fans worldwide, had been waiting for the new episode of the series for a long time. Abrams, to meet the expectation of the fans, included several hallmarks of Star Wars series into the new film.

During an interview with USA TODAY on Sunday, Abrams pointed out that The Force Awakens has aspects which are thought to be the necessity by the fans. The creator said that the movie has plenty of dogfights between TIE Fighters and X-wing Starfighters.

The movie was filmed in IMAX format for maximized viewer experience. In the short film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens IMAX® Behind the Frame” released by the IMAX company on Friday, J.J. Abrams is shown filming the epic movie with huge IMAX cameras.

“I’m a huge fan of what IMAX is about,” Abrams said. “You feel it. And it ends up being that much more fun to watch. For fans of Star Wars, they’ll get to experience a sequence in a way they haven’t before.”

IMAX is a motion picture format which has far more capacity to record and display images of greater size than conventional film systems. There are over 1,000 IMX cinemas over 66 countries.

The movie, which is to start its screening this week all over the world, will start filming its episode 8 in January in an aim to release the film in May 2017. The episode 9 is scheduled to be released in 2019.
