New Star Wars film’s pre-sales break record

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, the seventh film of the most popular Science Fiction movie franchise broke the record in pre-sales of its tickets. The film sold more than U.S$100 million worth of the tickets.

The multi-culture magazine “Variety” reported Tuesday that the sources confirmed a number of dollars in pre-sale of the film’s ticket. Variety expected more than $200 million dollars will be earned during the opening weekend, domestically.

The Movietickets.com said The Force Awakens Sold more than double the number of tickets to “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, 33 percent more than “Star Wars: Episode III”, 20 percent more than “Jurassic World”.

The previous record holder for pre-sales was “The Dark Knight Rises”. The film recorded $25 million.
