Jay Park’s hip-hop label AOMG is acquired by a South Korean media conglomerate CJ E&M.

CJ E&M announced thorough a press release that the media giant had acquired the trendy label AOMG, which Jay Park and Simon D are co-CEOs. “So that AOMG will ultimately lead in not only hip hop music but also in lifestyle and grow as the trendiest label in the music market,” CJ E&M’s music sector president Ahn Seok-joon said,

“We will do everything in our power including hiring those who are knowledgeable of the music industry and expand and develop the label using diverse business opportunities."

However, the acquisition will not affect AOMG’s works for now. It is known that AOMG will continue its independent production of music. Experts of the industry expect CJ E&M’s marketing, and distribution powers will put wings on AOMG, opening them to a wider, global channel.
