South Korean government is to resume loudspeaker propaganda at the border of North Korea on Friday. The propaganda came to a halt last year after both Koreas came to an agreement to promote peace in August.

This act is in retaliation against the North’s nuclear test, the Blue House made its announcement on Thursday.

The National Security Office also made a statement. “The North violated its obligations and commitments with the international community by carrying out a nuclear test,” said Cho Tae-yong, deputy chief of the National Security Office. “Also, the North failed to honor the last year’s peace agreement.”

The loudspeakers sound propaganda messages and South Korean songs in gigantic volume, had been a controversial subject since the North Korea reacted very sensitive about it. In recent years, there had been rifle rounds and explosive, which is suspected of small sized mortar shells, fired at the installment.

It seems that the North’s response will be very sensitive about the loudspeakers booming messages critical against the leader Kim Jung-un because the propaganda starts on his birthday
