Kia’s “Telluride”, a full-sized, hulking SUV concept, is the eye catcher at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2016.

As an SUV maker, Kia is well known for its small to medium sized cars such as Sportage and Sorrento. Not many expected Kia to introduce a three-row, seven passenger seat featuring full-sized SUV at the auto show.

Telluride is a hybrid-electric all-wheel drive concept SUV. Its design a combination of curves and straight lines which generates a sturdy, hardened image, is wider and taller than the current Sorrento SUV.

The concept car is equipped with 3.5-liter gasoline direct injected (GDI) V6 engine, plus an electric motor. Both engines put out 270 and 130 horse powers each, combined them together makes a total of 400 horse powers.

Unfortunate for some SUV lovers, Kia did not release any plans or schedules on mass production of the rhino-like beauty.
