The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association said Thursday it would hold this year's first tour event in March at Vietnam's Dalat at 1200 country club with its total prize money set at 500 million won (413,223 US dollars).
The association said a sponsorship agreement was signed with its Singapore-based business partner, Centurion, to hold the KLPGA event for three years at the Vietnamese alpine city of Da Lat.
Of last year's 29 KLPGA events, two were held in China, and the association expressed confidence that the latest deal would help boost the popularity of golf throughout Asia.
