Several media had reported recently that former idol group H.O.T is preparing a concert celebrating the 20th year of their debut, but the group members officially denied the report on Monday.
SM Entertainment, Gangta’s agency stated that “the concert which the media is talking about is unheard of.” Moon Hee-joon’s agency Koen Stars also said “Moon is preparing for his solo concert but we do not know of any H.O.T concert.” Gangta and Moon were former members of H.O.T.
As the group’s fans have long waited for this concert, their disappointment on hearing the news is expressed throughout the online communities and fan clubs. Jin Eun-ah, who had been the group’s enthusiastic fan since the debut, said “I was getting ready to be at the concert with my friends. We already made promises to take leave from work on that day. It is so disappointing to hear the news.”
Rumors of the group members getting back together to reform H.O.T had been around for years, but at this point nothing is clear.
