South Korean rapper Psy will appear on three Chinese TV programs marking Chunjie (spring festival), his agency, YG Entertainment,  said Friday.

Psy has completed recording for gala Chunjie programs to be aired by China's Dragon TV, JSTV and LRTV, which are watched by 2.9 billion people together in China,  YG said.

The rapper will stage "Gangman Style" and other songs from his seventh album released on December 1.

His "Gangnam Style" music video, which went viral globally after its release in 2012, has been viewed more than 2.5 billion times.

"Gangnam Style" is still the most viewed video on YouTube, but this week it lost its title as the fastest-ever video to reach one billion views.

The streaming service said on Thursday that "Gangnam Style" took 158 days to achieve one billion views while English singer Adele's "Hello" hit the landmark in just 87 days.

Adele released "Hello" on October 23, a single off of her 2015 album "25."
