Hyeri, a South Korean singer and actress, made a donation to help people in need as part of the coming Lunar New Year holidays. The Girl’s Day member tried to keep the donation secret, but it was eventually leaked.
The talented singer donated KR\ 50 million (US$ 41,928) to the Community Chest of Korea under her real name to avoid public attention. Hyeri tried very hard to keep it secret so that even her agency did not know of her good deed. Dream Tea Entertainment said on Thursday that “We did not know how and when Heyri made the donation.”
Online communities are praising Hyeri’ heartwarming act and some said that such good acts by celebrities should be announced publicly so that he or she can be a good example to the society and lead a movement.
