Hyundai Motor promised Thursday to launch the Ioniq Electric, an eco-friendly pure electric vehicle model in June.

Equipped with an engine capable of producing up to 120 horsepower, the Ioniq Electric can travel more than 169 kilometers on a single battery charge.

Hyundai set its prices in the 40 million won (3,300 US dollars) range and aims to sell about 4,000 units this year.

The company has described the Ioniq as the world’s first model to be available with hybrid, plug-in hybrid and pure EV drivetrains.

Auto analysts say the Ioniq clearly has the edge in terms of styling over competitors such as the Chevrolet Volt and the new 2016 Toyota Prius.

Images released by Hyundai shows the Ioniq features top of the line aerodynamics with great handling which provides fun and responsive driving experience.

Its simple contours minimize wind resistance and assist the efficient management of airflow around its exterior.
