There had been rumors that LG’s flagship smartphone G5 will feature dual cameras and it came out to be true. Smartphone case manufacturer Spiegen started pre-orders of “Thin Fit Cover Case” in eBay, and its page has a glimpse of G5 fitted with the case, featuring dual cameras and a fingerprint scanner.

Experts of the industry expect dual cameras will provide a lot more to its users than the conventional single lens camera. It could be used to allow users to choose a depth of field or focus points of an image after it’s taken. Also, it could be used to take out certain objects from an image by taking a series of shots and merging it together. Plus,  dual cameras could be used for creating a partial 3D image or add unique new effects.

Another new feature found on the eBay page was a fingerprint scanner. While LG’s rivals Samsung and Apple had fingerprint scanner installed on their smartphones from a few generations ago, LG did not. But in G5’s case, LG had moved the power button to the smartphone’s side and placed the scanner on the back.

Since G2, LG had placed volume and power buttons on the back side of the smartphones and it became a signature of the brand.

Also, G5 will feature a unique slot system which its bottom part can be removed for easy swapping of batteries. Experts believe the “quick slot” system would have something more than an easy-battery-changing feature, possibly an expansion slot for additional cartridge systems such as thermal camera, external camera and etc.
