Taemin of South Korean boy band SHINee was nervous but voiced confidence Monday that he could show his musical talent through his first 10-song solo album "Press It".

"I will try hard to show both dance and sound as much as possible so as not to damage SHINee's reputation," Taemin said at a showcase in the SMTOWN theater in southern Seoul.

"Press It" was his first solo album since the band's debut in 2008, and Taemin said it was a full-studio album made in one and half years.

Taemin, 22, participated in writing the lyrics for the first time in the album, which features title tract "Press Your Number", an urban pop dance song which will be released at midnight.

The album was produced in collaboration with South Korean and foreign artists including Bruno Mars, Teddy Riley, The Stereotypes, LND Noise, SHINee's Jonghyun and G. Soul.
