Beatles dominated foreign music charts Monday after the legendary rock band's digitalized hits were available on South Korean music streaming websites for the first time.

Beatles songs topped the list of foreign music on South Korean streaming services such as Naver Music and Genie Music, according to the Korean operation of international music distributor Universal Music Group.

Most popular Beatles songs among South Korean fans included "I Wan To Hold Your Hand", "Yesterday", "Let It Be" and "Hey Jude", it said. Data from other streaming services will be released later.

From Monday, 10 South Korean music streaming services were allowed to provide online and mobile digital audio streaming and downloading services.

The list covered a total of 17 Beatles albums, including 13 regular albums, the best hits of the Beatles and other compilations.

This is the first time that Universal Music has allowed South Korean providers to use the Beatles music. Previously CD recordings and iTunes downloads were the only outlets for the Beatles' songs here.
