EXID’s Solji & Hani to release digital single “Only One”

Solji & Hani from South Korean girl group EXID is to release a digital single “Only One” on Thursday. The duo will be the first among the members of EXID to take part in “Banana Shake”.

Solji and Hani will lead Banana Shake, a project by Banana Culture. The project involves the agency’s singers collaborating with other musicians, creating visual contents with music, and performances including concerts. EXID’s agency changed its name to Banana Culture from formerly known name- Yedang Entertainment.
 

Prior to the single’s release, Solji uploaded a 25-second long teaser video on YouTube. In te video, Solji asks the viewers to wait a day more until the single’s release. Hani also uploaded a teaser video on Tuesday. Hani and Solji’s single Only One is composed by Sinsadong Tiger and Slipwell, lyrics by EXID’s member, LE.
 

However, although the single is to be released on March 3, fans of EXID may not be able to see Hani in action for a while. The agency’s official announced on Saturday that due to Hani’s health conditions, the singer will take indefinite hiatus. Hani was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, which is an inflammation of the digestive system, which requires a couple of weeks to heal. Due to Hani’s severe conditions, her doctor ordered the EXID member to take full rest until she is healed.

The agency explained why the most popular singer is taking some time off. “Ever since ‘Up Down’, drew so much attention at the end of 2014, Hani’s schedule had been completely full, giving her no time to rest,” the official said. He also spoke about when her return will be. “Hani is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about her appearing in TV shows, but she will take a short break and recover as soon as possible.”
