LPGA's rising star Jang Ha-na apologized Monday over an injury that forced her compatriot Chun In-gee to withdraw from the HSBC Women's Champions tournament in Singapore last week.

"I regret and feel sorry for  Chun In-gee's injury," Jang told reporters after she arrived in South Korea from Singapore.

Chun finished second at the Honda LPGA Thailand last month, but she injured her coccyx when she fell on an escalator at Singapore's Changi Airport on Tuesday after being hit by the bag of Jang's father.

Chun, who has a large number of domestic fans and supporters, was treated at a local hospital. There has been no word yet from Chun about her competition at the next LPGA event.

The injury sparked an emotional on-line battle among South Koreans fans. It's an unintentional accident, but some fans accused Jang of failing to make a full apology for Chun's injury.

"I hope I will see her at the next (LPGA) event," Jang said.

With her energetic moves, Jang has earned her the nickname “HaNa-Gizer.” She shows that with all the fist pumps she makes in a round.

After she holed out at the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic in the season opener to become the first LPGA player to make a hole-in-one on a par 4, she knelt and bowed on the green, kissing the turf.

She also celebrated with a self-styled 'Samurai-lasso' dance after her maiden victory in Florida last month.

In Singapore, Jang delighted the gallery by dancing like Beyonce following her HSBC Women's Champions victory on Sunday.
