Virtual reality (VR) contents are the hottest items in the entertainment and IT industry. Now, a permanent VR cinema is to open in Amsterdam.

VR cinema is not the newest stuff for the people who seek new experiences, but they have only existed in forms of pop-up cinemas, opening in various places of the world for only a limited time. The permanent VR cinema by Samhoud Media will be the first permanent VR cinema in the world,

The cinema with the latest technology will not have a silver screen like any other normal cinemas, but rows of swivel chairs with Samsung Gear VR headsets and Sennheiser HD 201 headphone will be available for viewers. Its views can swivel around in the chair enjoying the full 360-degree view in the VR environment the cinema provides.

According to Samhoud Media, each viewing will cost €12,50 (approximately US$ 14). The company did not specify which content the viewers would get, but according to Venture Beat, the VR content will be about 35 minutes long.
