Hani, a member of South Korean girl group EXID, will be returning to the music scene after taking a few weeks off to recover from gastroenteritis, which is an inflammation of the digestive system.
Yedang Entertainment, EXID’s agency announced on Thursday that “Hani is taking a rest at home. She had recovered well from her illness and she will return following the schedule previously announced.” Yedang Entertainment spoke last month that Hani will return in mid-March.
The popular girl group member was diagnosed with the illness at the end of last month, and EXID’s agency decided to let the singer take some time off from her activities. Also, the agency asked for the fans understanding as EXID had virtually no time to rest since their hit song “Up Down” drew so much attention in 2014.
Meanwhile, Girls’ Day member Hyeri is also returning to the music scene after recovering from meningitis. The singer-actress was full on schedule since her appearance in a hit drama “Reply 1988” since last year, and were diagnosed with meningitis after visiting an ER with symptoms of a fever and severe headache.
