Adobe releases patch to plug security hole for Flash

Adobe released a new patch for Flash which fixes critical vulnerabilities that could possibly allow hackers or attackers to take control of the affected system. The new patch will fix 23 security holes in the software.

Flash, the widely used web-player had been pointed by the experts as the major security hole of the internet browser. There had been reports from around the world which the software had been the major route of spreading of malware and viruses, even ransomware.

It is a known fact that an attacker can distribute or change the code in existing Flash file to take control of a system. Facebook and Google declared an end to the Flash-based ad-ons in the near future. Some security experts suggest users uninstall the software completely from the system to ensure its safety.

The update by Adobe will be distributed soon automatically, but for users who need the patch fast, it can be downloaded from the Adobe homepage.
