Jung Yong-hwa to appear in Chinese culinary themed film

Jung Yong-hwa, a singer from boy band "CNBLUE" will continue his career in acting by appearing in a Chinese film, playing the role of a chef.

The film, produced by Hong Kong-based Emperor Motion Pictures with a budget of approximately US$ 40 million, is a culinary-themed, and the main role will be played by a Hong Kong star Nicholas Tse. Other confirmed names are Chinese top actor and actress Ge You and Tiffany Tang.

This is the first film for Jung after him taking a hiatus of two years from his acting career, and many fans can't wait to see him on the silver screen. Jung has a large fan base in China from his earlier dramas such as "You're Beautiful". He also appeared in many Chinese shows familiarizing with the mainland's fans.

Meanwhile, the band, CNBLUE is to release a new album in April. This is the band's first album since September 2015's "Cinderella".
