Hyeri, a member of girl group "Girls' Day", confirmed her appearance in the upcoming drama "Ddanddara". Ddanddara is a Koran slang meaning "entertainer"
The singer-actress' agency Dream Entertainment confirmed on Monday that Hyeri will play the main female character "Jung Gurin" in the drama, as a caring young lady who gave up her college education to take better care of her brother.
Producers of the drama also commented on Hyeri's role. "Hyeri's bright and friendly characteristics are perfect for her role in the drama," a producer said, "she is to portray the passionate, energetic young lady in her 20's."
Meanwhile, the singer-actress is currently at home recovering from meningitis, which she was diagnosed with earlier this month, and reading the scripts. Famous male actor Jisung is also confirmed to take the main male role in the drama.
Ddanddara is to undergo its filming very soon due to its airing is scheduled to start on April 20.
