Samsung "Galaxy Active" series had been the rugged, though brother of Galaxy S series. They are near-military grade water resistant and shock resistant. Now, it looks like Galaxy S7 Active is going to be released soon.
According to SamMobile's report, the tech specialists found out that the latest version of Samsung Level app, uploaded onto Google Play on Monday. The Samsung Level app lists Galaxy S7 Active in the changelog (a log which records all the changes made into an app over a period).
This is welcoming news for some Galaxy fans that need a tough smartphone due to the environment they live, or work at. There had been needs for tougher smart devices from the people working as military personnel or working in harsh environments such as construction sites.
Speculating based on previous Active series, new S7 Active will house a larger battery as S6 active did (regular S6's 2,800mAh to S6 Active's 3,500mAh), it would be shock resistant, and may provide better waterproof sealing than a regular S7.
Also like all previous Active series, new S7 Active will feature hardware buttons on its side and front. It's necessary for people wearing protective gloves to manipulate the smartphone without taking off their gloves.
