Hyundai Motors' rally team driver Hayden Paddon and his co-driver John Kennard grabbed a victory in Rally Argentina on Sunday. It was the first WRC victory for Hayden.

The Rally Argentina was not an easy race for Hayden. On the last day, the driver fought against the world champion Sebastien Ogier in a challenging duel. The two drivers were only apart by 2.6 seconds, but Hayden managed to break away from the Frenchman, zooming down the rocky mountain and secured 14.3 seconds winning margin in his Hyundai i20 WRC.

"I can’t believe it!" said the driver, Hayden after the race. "It’s a special result for the whole team. It all came down to the Power Stage. We pushed really hard and really drove the wheels off the car! I am thankful to everyone who has supported us."

Rally Argentina is one of World Rally Championship (WRC) races, and the Hyundai team won the second win after their first at Rally Germany in 2014. The team had won their first victory with Hyundai's New Generation i20 WRC car. The new i20 WRC took a debut victory in just fourth rally, which is a significant achievement for the team.

i20 is Hyundai's small hatchback unit, produced in Turkey and sold in Europe, India, and Australia. The WRC version is equipped with 1,600cc T-GDI engine and a 4 wheel drive system. Also features 6-level differential gear box.
