1.6 billion people use Facebook by uploading contents on it. As the user generated contents are filling up the world's largest social media, there's something missing. Facebook's very own contents generating app.

One of the most used contents generating app is camera-related and according to Wall Street Journal, Facebook is underway developing its very own camera app which would let users take photos / videos and share them directly through Facebook.

Last month, Facebook acquired MSQRD, the app provides its users with various filters for images and videos. It also has face-swapping features which are the trend in the smart device world, the feature is similar to one provided by Snapchat which allows people to exchange faces on an image.

Wall Street Journal foresaw that the standalone camera app by Facebook may lead its users to generate more contents, but despite the Facebook's needs, the app may not be released at all even if it has finished developing.
