Lee Jong-suk, a South Korean actor, has joined YG Entertainment, the agency announced Tuesday.

The actor established a "one-man agency" at the beginning of this year, but Lee's desire to focus on acting under more stable environment led him to join the entertainment giant. YG Entertainment is a home to many of top actors such as Cha Seung-won and Kang Dong-won.

Many experts see that Lee teaming up with YG would strengthen the actor's influence over Asia. Lee's popularity in Asian countries had been rocketing over last few years, boosted by his appearances in successful drama series such as "Doctor Stranger", "Pinocchio", and "I Hear Your Voice".

Lee is currently working on a Korean-Chinese joint venture drama "Jade Lovers" and has recently finished filming China-located scenes. The actor is also to appear in a Korean romantic thriller drama "W", scheduled to air on July 20.
