South Korea's Hyundai Motor Group released images of its "Iron Man" wearable robot which has been under development for commercial use and will be used primarily for factory workers, soldiers, and handicapped people.

For the first time, photos of the wearable robot were posted on the group's official blog. One caption reads "Wearable robots like the so-called 'Iron Man' suit seen in the movies will become real in the near future!"

Really, it's not like an armoured suit from "Iron Man", a Hollywood blockbuster movie, but Hyundai said its version could be useful for factory workers to lift and carry a heavy load, while soldiers in full gear can move fast and take a long walk. A modified version was also shown on the blog, helping a handicapped person going up the stairs.

"The wearable robot which is under development by the Hyundai Motor Group for commercial use will be used for multiple purposes," read another caption.

Hyundai did not say when its wearable robot will hit the market. There was no word, too, on how the suit would be powered. The group has Hyundai Rotem manufacturing defense products, rolling stock, and plant equipment, under its wing which also has a battery-making affiliate.
