From now on, Facebook literally understands what the users are posting. The social media giant introduced "DeerText", Thursday. DeepText is Facebook's artificial intelligence (AI), capable of analyzing thousands of users' post per second in 20 different languages.

According to Facebook's announcement, DeepText is "a deep learning-based text understanding engine that can understand with near-human accuracy the textual content of several thousands posts per second, spanning more than 20 languages."

The goal of developing a text reading AI is explained by Facebook. "Understanding the various ways text is used on Facebook can help us improve people's experiences with our products, whether we're surfacing more of the content that people want to see or filtering out undesirable content like spam." The company said.

But some experts predict that there's more to what Facebook is aiming to achieve. Some experts of the industry foresaw that Facebook will soon be able to analyze what the users are posting, and may offer better suggestions on contents or provide better helpful options.

For an example, a user posts a note saying that their parent's birthday is coming. DeepText can analyze the post, understand it, and offer the user with advertisements of products which are ideal for ages of the parent. Currently, Facebook is using an AI to filter out images and texts which could be found offensive by some users.

Facebook did not mention when the DeepText will be applied to the social media's service in their announcement
