Big Bang had a concert scheduled to be held at China's Shenyang, Friday, but it was postponed at the last minute.

On the official Weibo event page, an urgent notice was posted Tuesday saying "2016 Big Bang MADE VIP Tour in Shenyang", scheduled for June 3has been cancelled due to an inevitable reason. We will announce new dates for the concert soon. We sincerely apologize to all the fans who waited so much for the concert."

Nor Big Bang's agency, YG Entertainment or the event holders clarified why the boys cancelled the concert, but this is the second time this year which Big Bang cancelled its concert. The boy group had cancelled a concert in March, scheduled to be held at a sports stadium in Wuhan City. The sports stadium officials refused to let Big Bang hold a concert because too many fans were expected to come to the concert and were concerned due to safety reasons.

Apart from safety reasons, fake tickets could be the reason for June concert's cancellation. In March, YG Entertainment and Big Bang had expressed deep concerns regarding fake tickets to their concerts.

Chinese Big Bang fans victimized by fake concert tickets were first reported in late March. As Big Bang concert in Zhengzhou were all sold out, some fans turned to scalpers for tickets, but the tickets they bought turned out to be fake and were not allowed to enter the concert. According to various media, at least 20 similar cases were reported and an investigation is ongoing to catch the mastermind.

Following the unfortunate event, YG Entertainment released a statement alerting fans not to buy any tickets from resellers and apologizing for the victimized fans.
