South Korean idol girl group 4Minute faces a breakup when their contract expires this month with only one member -- Hyuna -- signing a renewed contract so far, the group's management agency said on Monday.
Cube Entertainment said it has renewed the contract only with Hyuna while other members have yet to complete talks about renewal or leaving.
"Other members are still in talks on renewing their contracts but it's probably not easy to maintain the team in the name of 4Minute," one official said, adding some members would have to leave if they fail to renew contracts.
Since its debut in 2009, the group has seen great success with hits such as "What's Your Name?" in 2013 and "Crazy" in 2015. The latest release "Act. 7" in February contained Hate" that has led to numerous cover dance videos by global fans posted on YouTube.
