Apple is to include its earphone "EarPods with Remote and Mic" to the upcoming iPhone 7 package, along with a Lightning headphone jack adapter, according to Japan's Apple fan blog "Macotakara".

Rumors about Apple ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack has been the center of debate among smartphone fans for months. Considering rumors and leaked images so far, many believed it would be true but there has been no official confirmation from the US tech giant.

Macotakara, well-known for the accuracy of its predictions and rumors, uploaded a post on Tuesday, claiming Apple is to add a Lightning adapter to enable the use of conventional 3.5mm headphones. Plus, the blog said there would be two holes at the bottom of the iPhone 7, featuring left and right speakers.

Other than the 3.5mm headphone jack, there are also rumors that the 256GB model will be added to iPhone 7's lineup.

So far, Apple has provided 256GB to its iPads, but Macotakara and other market watchers predict Apple is very likely to add a new large storage model to iPhones as demands for larger storage are rising due to the increasing size of image files and apps.
