Telephone giant KT has introduced 360-degree virtual reality advertisements for the first time in South Korea.

There have been 360-degree format ads used in online marketing platforms such as YouTube and Facebook. Unlike the online format where VR technology is freely applied, the TV version of KT's ad is filmed from the view of a famous actress, Kim Ji-won, emulating what it's like to be in a 360-dgree VR environment.

Kim takes viewers along with her everyday life, using products from "GiGA IoT Health", the new service that lets users feel as if they are working out on a bike or playing a real game of golf at home. It works by plugging the device just into a TV.
