An Australian research center has introduced a farming robot called "SwagBot", designed to automate the simple but special task of herding cattle. Its release date is not known while the price suggested by developers is about 22,800 US dollars.

While most other automated robot brothers walk around in four or more limbs, the main body of SwagBot, developed by the Australian Centre for Field Robotics (ACFR), is a small metal box encasing placed on four limbs with wheels attached. It is specially designed to tackle a rough terrain such as Australia's mud-laced paddock.

SwagBot's maximum speed is only about 19 kilometers (11.8 miles) per hour, but it is capable of herding livestock around in a paddock. It can be equipped with an additional drone to provide farmers with a bird's-eye view.
