The music video (MV) for I.O.I's new track "Whatta Man" collected more than two million views on YouTube in less than two days of its release.

Prior to the track's release, the girls unveiled a mysterious teaser image. Despite that I.O.I was a cute and sweet-themed group since their debut last year, the teaser image showed girls dressed in identical clothes while wearing the same makeups and wigs. The teaser gave out an impression of chic and sexy. Some fans expressed discomfort against the group's sudden change while some welcomed it.

However, no matter how big the change was, it seems to be successful. The MV was uploaded onto YouTube Monday and its view counts surpassed one million on its first day of release, garnering another million on its second day.

I.O.I was originally composed of 11 members picked from South Korea's survival audition program "Produce 101". The girls debuted as a project group in May 2016 and are currently active as a seven-member unit group while other members formed separate unit groups or were involved in solo activities.
