Google has officially unveiled its smartphone operating system (OS) Android 7.0 "Nougat" along with a glimpse of LG's new flagship smartphone "V20", the first smartphone to have the Nougat factory-installed.

On the new Nougat promotion web page, Google makes a brief comment on the V20: "The first new smartphone that comes with Android Nougat, right out of the box. Coming soon."

LG's V20 is to be released on September 7. Its manufacturer said the new flagship will not be in a modular form like its brother "G5" but will house a metal frame with a replaceable battery. V20 will also have a B&O (Bang & Olufsen) package installed, providing users with rich, deep and vibrant sound.

B&O is a world famous Danish audio device manufacturer. The company is famous for its unique design of its speakers and overall performance. LG had featured B&O modular part exclusively for G5, improving the device's audio capabilities.

According to smartphone users who already have tried out the developer's version of the Nougat, the new Android OS will support floating windows and other features which provide a smooth and optimized user experience. Also, the new OS would provide a longer battery life.

Android 7.0 is primarily available for Google's "Nexus" devices and will gradually be available for other smart devices which would support the OS. Nexus series is a lineup of reference devices co-manufactured by major smart device makers such as Samsung, LG, and HTC. Google's reference devices get the latest OS updates and upgrades first hand.
