Jessica, a former Girls' Generation member, has taken legal action against two online users for spreading malicious rumors, police said.
The two are under investigation on suspicion of posting comments sexually harassing the singer and degrading her look, according to a police station in Seoul's Gangnam district. Jessica filed complaints in May.
An official from Jessica's new agency Coridel Entertainment said: "We will continue to take legal actions against those spreading malicious rumors against Jessica with no mercy."
Celebrities mired in malicious online rumors have surged in recent years. Taeyeon, another Girl's Generation member, filed suits against rumor-spreading online users last year. This year, Kim So-hye from girl group I.O.I, actor-singer Lee Seung-gi, and Suzy from Miss A have sued abusers.
