South Korea's LG Electronics will unveil its new premium smartphone, V20, this week that will run on Google's new Android mobile operating system called "Nougat" for the first time in the world.
The V20 will be unveiled Wednesday in Seoul, featuring improved multimedia functions such as a high-end audio resolution.
LG has enhanced ties with Google following poor sales of the G5 released earlier this year to adopt the new search app "In Apps" that enables users to find content from built-in apps, including contacts, emails, text messages and photos, and also from user-installed apps.
Google announced its new Android OS Nougat at the end of June and started distributing its developers' version. Currently, HTC's Nexus smartphones are being developed to have the Nougat OS, but it won't be released anytime before V20's release.
