A giant inflatable art sculpture called "Super Moon" has become the famous evening showplace of southern Seoul, attracting five million tourists since it was on display only four weeks ago.

The 20-meter-wide sphere-shaped installation accompanied by eight smaller inflatable sculptures symbolizing planets were installed on September 1 at an artificial lake in Songpa, a southeastern district of Seoul.

The smiling Super Moon and other sculptures created by FriendsWithYou, a Los Angeles-based fine arts group led by American artists Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval, has been lit up in seven different colors.

The project was launched by district officials and South Korea's fifth largest conglomerate, Lotte Group. As of Thursday, Lotte said the project has attracted five million visitors.
